Onondaga County Foster / Adoptive Parent Support Group is dedicated to:
- Assisting and encouraging foster and adoptive families
- Providing support and educational opportunities for foster and adoptive families
- Working to improve communication/dialogue between foster/adoptive parents and the Department of Social Services.
Mission Statement:
The Onondaga County Foster/Adoptive Parent Support Group is in existence to provide support and encouragement to foster and adoptive families in Onondaga County. Our mission is to ensure that each family receives the emotional, educational, and social support necessary to continue to provide a stable home for the children placed in their care. Our mission is to open a dialogue and improve communication between foster/adoptive parents and the Department of Social Services. Our mission is to provide educational opportunities to expand the understanding of foster and adoptive families on the issues presented in parenting our children, giving them the tools to raise these children properly, and to make sure they have the resources to protect the children in their care.
